The Doctoral School in Evidence Based Assessment and Psychological Interventions at Babeș-Bolyai University has developed a PhD program organized around the principles of clinical science and the scientist practitioner paradigm. The school promotes personalized and evidence-based psychological interventions, ensuring a set of solid competencies supporting both professional activities (in accordance with the Norms of the Romanian Board of Psychologists), as well as teaching and research activities.
The focus on evidence-based assessment and interventions allows graduates to function in varied professional domains and settings (e.g., clinical, educational, organizational, military), which require advanced psychological knowledge and skills, and a permanent and efficient update regarding international standards and research in the field.
Daniel David, PhD, is a Professor at Babeş-Bolyai University in Cluj Napoca, an Associate Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York, and the Director of Research at the Albert Ellis Institute, New York. Daniel David is the director of the International Institute for the Advanced Study of Psychotherapy and Applied Mental Health. His expertise is related to
neurogenetic clinical cognitive sciences and scientifically validated psychotherapies. His research interests include the use of technology in mental health, the impact of country and cross-cultural cognitions, the impact of irrational beliefs on mental health, the effectiveness of scientifically validated psychotherapies, and the mechanisms of change associated with them.

Anca Dobrean, PhD is a Professor in the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca. She is the director of the research program aiming children and adolescents. Her contributions to research are found in the field of scientifically validated assessment and interventions for mental disorders of children and adolescents. In the field of scientifically validated psychological evaluation, Professor Dobrean is involved in the adaptation and validation of the main psychological tools for evaluating children’s psychopathology. Anca Dobrean was involved in the publication of over 15 psychological tools in Romanian language. The most important psychological tools are: CBCL, YSR, TRF, BDI-II, ADHD-IV evaluation scale, Raven tests, WISC-IV, etc. In the field of scientifically validated interventions, Prof. Dobrean is involved in national and international clinical trials on the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral interventions in emotional and behavioral problems of children and adolescents such as anxiety, ADHD and disruptive behaviors.
