Cognitive-behavioral coaching is the psychological intervention targeting personal and professional development, optimization and problem-solving. Coaching is a major field of interest at the international level and Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy at the Babeş-Bolyai University Cluj-Napoca is one of the important promoters of the cognitive-behavioral approach in coaching. As so, the first academic course and post-graduate program were introduced through its educational offers. In order to encourage the development of the field, the Department will support the organization of the First International Congress of Cognitive Behavioral Coaching between 12th and 15th of June 2014.

The Congress’s president is Professor Daniel David and honorific president of the event is Professor Arthur Freeman from Midwestern University, USA. Program of the Congress includes scientific papers, round-table, meet the expert demonstrations, and workshops presented by world-known experts in the field of cognitive-behavioral interventions, among which are professor Windy Dryden from University of London, UK, prof. Dominic DiMattia from University of Bridgeport, USA, prof. Michael J. Cavanagh from University of Sydney, Australia.

Early bird registration deadline has been extended until 30.10.2013 and the abstract submission deadline for the scientific program is 15.12.2013. Students with submitted abstracts can afterwards register with special fee. The best two abstracts will be awarded with a prize consisting of free registration for each.
