Admission to the doctorate in the Doctoral School: Evidence-Based Assessment and Psychological Interventions is done through a competition organized annually, in September. The exam consists of (1) taking a written exam based on the bibliography displayed on the website of the Doctoral School and (2) presenting a research project to the admission committee.

GENERAL PRESENTATION

Oriented on evidence-based practice, the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy of Babes-Bolyai University, in association with the Department of Applied Psychology in Education of Babes-Bolyai University have developed a doctoral program in scientist-practitioner and evidence-based paradigm, which provides a set of skills both for professional activity(according to the norms of Romanian College of Psychologists) and the rapid insertion on the labor market of graduates as well as for high-performance teaching and research activities.

Focusing on psychodiagnosis and evidenced-based psychological interventions allows graduates to take part in various fields of activity (eg.: clinical, educational, organizational, defense, etc.), domains that require advanced psychological knowledge and skills and a successful connection to practice, education and international research in this field.

The chosen topics should be in general part of the fields like psychodiagnosis, clinical psychology, psychotherapy and psychological counselling, cognitive sciences, genetic counselling and evolutionary psychology.

Graduates can continue their studies in postdoctoral programs in our country(including this department) and/or abroad and/or they can take part on labor market in our country and/or abroad, because our Doctoral School is one of a word-class type(excellence) integrated in prestigious international networks.

International Institute for the Advanced Studies of Psychotherapy and Applied Mental Health  is the research platform/infrastructure of Doctoral School.

Assistant Professor Radu ȘOFLĂU

Radu Șoflău is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, Babeș-Bolyai University. He is also a clinical psychologist and cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist certified by the Romanian Board of Psychologists. His research interests focus on assessing the efficacy of psychological treatments for psychopathology, as well as understanding cognitive and non-cognitive factors associated with psychopathology and treatment response.
